Jacob Causey Obituary
Jacob was born on Feb. 11, 2004, to Tim Causey and Karen Casey Smith.
He was a 2022 graduate of East Rowan High School, where he was a member of the baseball team all four years.
Jacob was kind-hearted and loved by many. He dedicated his free time to his family and friends, with whom he enjoyed golfing, snowboarding, riding jet skis and working on trucks.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish Jacob's memory include his grandfather, Harold; brothers Jeffery Guertin, Daniel Guertin and Nicholas Guertin; sister Carrie Causey Liapis; uncle Travis Causey; aunts Jennifer Medinger and husband, Brad, and Lisa Walters and husband, Tim; and many nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Jacob's life is being held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Stanton Field, 118 S. Walnut GQ St. Granite Quarry, NC 28146.

Jacob always had the sweetest smile and laugh. I enjoyed watching him with Dillon, Matt, Justin, and Ben playing and having fun together. Wonderful memories. He will be missed. I remember meeting Jacob in kindergarten! One of the very first friends I ever made. I am thankful to have done this life with him and have these memories forever!

Jacob became my best friend in 8th grade, I had just returned back to public school from homeschool and I think for any student that is hard at first. Jacob welcomed me with open arms and never failed to make me laugh and smile. Jacob was like the big brother I never had, he wore his heart on his sleeve and would go above and beyond for anyone even if he didn´t know them. Jacob always knew how to make me feel better and always knew the right things to say at the right time and gave the most heartfelt advice. I knew I could always count on Jacob to be there for me because he showed it countless times, not only in 8th grade but throughout high school and even after graduation. Though we grew apart after high school he would always reach out to check up on me. He really did care for his friends and he made us all feel loved. No one has taught us how to deal with loosing a brother and this loss has taken a real toll on me and the rest of his friends, loosing Jacob was the last thing we were prepared for. We are going to miss you terribly buddy, we promise to make you proud down here.

I will always remember his beautiful smile, and his amazing personality. He made me feel so loved by him and I will forever miss getting love him back. I will miss his hugs he definitely gave the best ones. I´ll love you forever sweet boy!
