Jason Hayes Obituary
SALISBURY - Mr. Jason Allen Hayes, age 24, of Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Salisbury, passed Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 27, 1990 to the late Alice Faye Hooker and David Allen Hayes. He was a graduate of Salisbury High School and attended Lewisburg College, Raleigh. He was an employee of Value Clothing. Mr. Hayes previously attended Fairview Heights Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, J'Kenya Hayes, of the home; grandmother, Rosa Hayes, of Salisbury; brother, Patrick Hooker, of Salisbury; sisters, Davida Hayes and Tabatha Swink both of Salisbury; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation and Services: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at St. Luke Baptist Church with the Pastor, Rev. Arthur Heggins, officiating. Interment will be at the MLK section of Rowan Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends at the home of the grandmother, Mrs. Rosa Hayes of Railroad Street.

I am very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed Jason's company and the persistence he showed to graduate from high school and start college has inspired others to do so. Every few months I would run into Jason while out walking and he always had a kind word, a smile, and the time to speak. I will miss him.
