Jayden Hicks Obituary
He was born March 17, 2006, in Cabarrus County, the son of Wayne Jordan Hicks and Kristina Muyskens Hicks. Jayden attended Carson and East Rowan High Schools before enrolling with Penn Foster Online High School. He was a bright and outgoing young man who had a deep love for the outdoors and adventure. Jayden enjoyed fishing, skateboarding, golfing, and riding dirt bikes, always seeking fun and excitement. In middle school, he proudly played football, showing his team spirit and energy. Some of his favorite memories were traveling to Myrtle Beach with his brothers, where he especially loved learning how to surf. Jayden was looking forward to visiting California, where he would be spending time with his grandfather, Kevin. Known for his humor and charisma, he could tell a story or a joke like no other. He was not only funny and full of life but also deeply respectful and kind-hearted, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Jayden is survived by his parents; his longtime girlfriend, Naomi Hall-Bruce; his siblings, Jordan Hicks, Joshua Hicks, Jacob Hicks, Lanie Hicks, and Linley Rae Hicks; grandparents, Lisa and Robert Taylor, Kevin and Cindy Muyskens, and Stephanie and Troy Clark; special cousin, Samantha Veros; many other aunts, uncles, and cousins; and extended family, Susan Bruce and Terry Bowles.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 2, at Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell. The service will follow at 4:00 PM, in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastor Cody Zorn.
