Jonathan McLeod Obituary
Mark was a 1977 graduate of Asheboro High School and attended Western Carolina University. Upon completion of his service in the United States Navy, he joined the Army National Guard. He was a 30-year employee of Freightliner in Cleveland, North Carolina, where he worked in the Maintenance department. Mark was reluctant to retire from his long career because of the friends he made at Freightliner and the joy they brought to his life. A dedicated member of St. Luke's Church, Mark was highly active and very social in both his church and the community. He loved walking at Dan Nicholas Park, having breakfast at Lakeview Restaurant, and cheering on his grandkids at their many sporting events. Mark was a strong believer in supporting local businesses first and he loved to drive his fast car and listen to classic rock.
He is survived by his family, Wilma, Tiffany, Briana, Dustin, Lena, Mike, Rena Gale, Kari, Chris, Tina, Taylor, Logan;, and lots of grandkids who he cherished. Mark also leaves behind countless devoted friends, fellow church members, and his sweet dog Lexi. He will be remembered as a hardworking, kind, and loving man with a servant heart. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, from 1:00-3:00 at St. Luke's Church (1775 St. Luke's Church Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146). A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 9, at 2:30 at Lady Bird Farm (1070 Lower Stone Church Rd., Rockwell, NC 28138).
In addition to flowers that may be ordered through Salisbury Flower Shop at the Ketner Center, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Church or to your local humane society.
Carolina Cremation of Salisbury is assisting the McLeod family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.

I had the pleasure of being part of Mark's Interview at Freightliner and then working with him for 30 years . Mark was not only a coworker but a true friend. He was a great Man of faith and family. Funny they say all the good ones get taken before there time and I'm sure the good Lord has Plans for him. You will be greatly missed my friend and will miss our discussions we would have about life. Love you my
