To Sheryle and family, My prayers are with you all during this time. I loved Joe McGee and he knew it! From the first day we met at work on duty I knew God had given me a special friend! We worked together, Joe as the Magistrate and me as an Officer of the law at Salisbury PD & Rowan Co Sheriffs Office, those 26.5 years both of us beginning and retiring almost at the same times. Mine was March1994-August 6,2020. I actually tried to get him to retire year´s ago but he stayed on. I also told him to retire with me that August but he said he needed to keep working. So when I found out a few months later he had retired I was surprised but happy for him. Now I learned from a dear coworker Joe was sick and then passed on. Through the tears and prayers I know Gods will has been done and from over the years talking we believed that Christ was soon to return. I believe I will see Joe when I leave this earth and enter eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Joe was a true friend to me and he will be missed greatly!

I am truly sad to see this post. I met this gentleman recently working at the hospital and he was such as nice man. I had been praying for him. My prayers will be with the family for the loss.
