Kelly Rumple Obituary

Kelly Lynn Rumple, 63, passed away on August 16, 2025, in Landis, North Carolina.

Born on December 4, 1961, Kelly was a lifelong resident of the area. He attended Landis Elementary and South Rowan High School before continuing his education at Rowan Cabarrus Community College. His strong work ethic and dedication led to a 37-year career as a supervisor at PremTech, later known as New York Airbrake.

Kelly was a devoted father and a man of integrity--honorable, kind, loyal, and trustworthy. He found joy in the outdoors through fishing and hunting and had a passion for leatherwork. His playful spirit shone when spending time with his puppy. A man of faith, he was connected to Oak Grove Methodist Church in China Grove.

He is survived by his mother, Jean Sechler Simmons; daughters Jessica Rumple Hamilton and Susan Ratliff; son-in-law James Ratliff; sister Pamela Rodgers and brother-in-law Donald Rodgers; nephew Lucas Rodgers; nieces Leah Rodgers and Loren Rodgers.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Daisy Sechler and his brother Ricky Simmons.

A funeral service will be held at Oak Grove Methodist Church in China Grove on September 6th, 2025 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the American Lung Association, St Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.

Kelly's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort and peace to all who mourn his passing.
