Larry L. Brown SALISBURY - Larry Laverne Brown, 67, of Salisbury, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006. Mr. Brown was born in Rowan County on Jan. 28, 1938 to the late Ervin Jacob and Mary Brady Brown. He was a 1956 graduate of Rockwell High School. Mr. Brown was a self-employed Brick Mason prior to retirement. He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, flowers and cooking for his family and friends. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife Shelva Jones Brown; and brothers Hadred Brown, Carr Brown and Herman Brown. Survivors include son Scott Brown and daughter-in-law Bonnie Brown of Rockwell; daughter Sherri Schulze of Salisbury and son-in-law Steve Schulze of Rockwell; grandchildren Cameron and Charlotte Brown of Rockwell, Christin Schulze of Modena, N.Y., Andrea Schulze of Mt. Dora, Fla.; great-grandchild Casey Gibbons of Mt. Dora, Fla.; brothers John Brown and Harold Brown of Salisbury, Ned Brown of Gold Hill; sisters Rebecca Cozart, Rose Holshouser and Martha Eller of Salisbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. Service: A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. Peters Lutheran Church, 2570 St. Peters Church Road, Salisbury conducted by Rev. David Ridenhour, Pastor and Rev. Johnny Cozart, Pastor of St. Marks Lutheran Church, Mooresville. Burial: Will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
