It is really hard to say to goodbye to a friend. Even though we had lost touch. I can still remember all of those trips to Charlotte Memorial in the ambulance with you and Hank. You pulling into a visitors parking lot instead of the ER and we had to pay 50 cent to get out of the lot.. gosh that was fun.
You will be missed for sure.

I would like to extend my condolences to you all and let you know I am praying for you and for Michael. I was Michael's cardiologist and friend until I left Concord in 2001. We kept in touch after I left but had no idea he was so ill. Please express my sadness to your children and tell them it was an honor to know him and be a part of his life.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Mike was a great guy and we were honored to have known him. My husband and I both worked at Cabarrus EMS with Mike and he was often a source of both great friendship as well as great laughter. I regret I cannot come in person to pay my respects but please know that Mike will always be remembered in our household as a good friend and while we mourn your loss, we also know how he loved to laugh and have fun - so we will remember him with laughter and joy at having been blessed to share time on this earth with him.

I was one of Mike's nurses at cardiac rehab. He always brightened my day, and no matter how bad Mike felt he took time to ask about all the other participants. I will miss his smile and the hugs that madem my day better. May God bless you and comfort you.
Love,

Thinking of you at this time of your loss. I knew Mike through the hospital and I used to work with his sister Jamie. 25 years ago he drovc me in an ambulance to Winston Salem to have my premature baby. My mother rode with us. She rode up front with Mike. She told me later that he was such a sweet boy because he talked to her the whole way to keep her calm. She said the fast ride scared her to death but he helped her through it. Both I and the baby did survive thanks to his quickly getting us there. My mohter passed 2 years ago but until then we often talked about that ride to Winston and Mike's involvemnet in my baby survinving. He was truly special to our family.Rita Kraus RN
