The Sauder family became quite special to me, as I served as assistant and interim pastor of the Rockwell Christian Church, and especially during the tumultuous days shortly thereafter. Mr. Paul told me that he then considered me nearly as one of his own sons. To be so accepted by such great folks has always been one of my favorite memories. He even set up some meetings for me in the Red Lion (PA) area. In more recent years, whenever I would run into Mrs. Vivian and him, it was as though we had seen each other only a day earlier. What a giant for our Lord he was and is! And, what a wonderful and fitting homegoing service the family provided on Monday! Of course, we know that fried chicken will be served at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, especially for all the Baptists who will be there. Perhaps our Lord will put Mr. Paul in charge of selecting the chickens! He'd love to do that! Mrs. Vivian, Shirley, Connie, Wayne, Harold, and Barry: Please keep me in the loop; and, let me serve our Lord by serving you in any ways which you see fit. I shall always feel myself especially blessed to be counted as a part of this fine and unique family. I love you all (I Corinthians 1:30-31).

Paul was a sweet man. He loved his family dearly. I would see him always making sure he hugged his great grandkids at church. Vivian I know it is going to be hard but God will never leave you or put more on us than we can bear. Praying for all of you.
