Robert Bobby Sams

Robert “Bobby” Gregg Sams, 74, of Rockwell, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC. He was born August 18, 1947 in Rowan County to the late Robert “Bob” E. Sams and Hazeline Holshouser Sams. Robert retired from GE in Salisbury as a machinist. He loved fishing, going to stay in the camper, his farm and sitting around the table at A&L where he ate breakfast every morning. Robert is survived by his wife Peggy Ann Hudson Sams; four children, Gindy Sams (Willie) Womack of Augusta, GA, Chad (Stephanie) Sams of Spencer, NC, Tammy (Tim) Holshouser of Gold Hill, NC and Bobby (Joann) Jenkins of Albemarle, NC; sister, Pamela Sams Ward of Salisbury, NC; three grandchildren, Tecie Sams New, Courtney Holshouser Robson, Mackenzie Holshouser Patterson; great-grandchild, Levi Robson. Arrangements: The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, in the Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC with Pastor Dean Hunter officiating.
