Ronald Lee McCraw, 73, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Piedmont Health and Rehab.

Born on an Army base in the territory of Alaska on March 21, 1952, he was the son of the late Alonzo McCraw and Virginia Norma Martin McCraw.

Ronald was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School, Class of 1970 and received his bachelor's degree from UNC-Charlotte. He worked many years in Data Programming and retired from Charlotte-Douglas Airport TSA as a baggage inspector.

He was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed collecting and building trains. Ronald was also a member of an online podcast, where he made many friends across the country.

In his final days, he reaffirmed that he was ready to go, knowing that he would see his father and mother again, along with his fur-babies, BJ and Sandy.

A graveside service will be held Monday, August 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at West Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Joseph Seymour.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rowan County Hospice 720 Grove Street
