Ryan Turner Obituary

Ryan Michael Turner, 28, of Concord passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at his residence. Born in Brunswick County, on May 18, 1989, he was the son of Tracy Turner Powell of Cornelius and Patrick James Smith (Venise) of Salisbury. A veteran of the United States Army, Ryan was a graduate of Jesse C. Carson High School. He held two degrees from Central Piedmont Community College and was a full-time student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He attended Elevation Church of Lake Norman. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amanda Kelly Trammell Turner of Concord; son, Brantley Turner; daughter, Blakelyn Turner; brother, Hunter Deal of Salisbury; sisters, Tabitha Smith of Salisbury and Megan Deal of Salisbury; paternal grandmother, Debbie Martin of Salisbury; andmaternal grandparents, Michael Turner (Sally) of Southport and Vickie Turner of Salisbury. Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018 at Destiny City Church, 2324 S. Main St., Salisbury, NC 28147. Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Destiny City Church with the Rev. Don Vess officiating. Burial: 1 p.m. Monday at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144, with military honors conducted by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the family's GoFundMe account at https://www.gofundme.com/mom-of-2-lost-husband. Lyerly Funeral Home is serving the Turner family.
