May God bless and comfort you in this time of sadness and sorrow. I grew up in Spencer on Fourth Street next door to the Burdettes. Although he was older, I remember him as the ideal young man. Later, his son Tommy, who stayed with his grandmother, would come to our house and we would find fun things to do, including the Civil War cap I gave him to wear. I will remember most his father and mother being very proud of their son Corky, his wife Virginia and their children.
