Thomas Krider Obituary
EAST SPENCER - Thomas "Shag" Krider. Jr. 65, of East Spencer, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at his home after an extended illness.
Born Oct. 11, 1949 in Rowan County to the late Thomas and Maggie Cherry Krider, Sr., Mr. Krider was a 1967 graduate of Dunbar High School, he served in United States Army and was last employed at the North Carolina Department of Corrections.
He leaves memories to a niece, Maggie Clinding; great-niece, Zion Clinding; longtime companion, Olivia "Libby" Hubbard; devoted cousins, John Krider, Jr. and Sandra Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service andVisitation:Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Gethesemane Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery. Family will recieve friends 30 minutes prior to services. At all other times, family will be at the home.
Rowan Funeral Services is assisting the Krider family.

I was genuinely saddened to learn of Shag's illness and very shortly thereafter of his passing. He was a remarkable human being. We were very good "buddies" in high school. I shall alway remember him.
