Allan Wayne Krider, 73, of Columbia City, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, December 6, 2024. He was born on September 28, 1951, in Wolf Lake, at Lucky Hospital, to the late Clyde and Juanita (Friend) Krider, Sr. He spent his formative years in Collins and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1971. Wayne was a dedicated family man who treasured the rich life he built with his wife of 45 years, Tracy (Pearson) Krider, who he married on April 6, 1979. Wayne was a hardworking individual who spent his career in steel fabrication at M & S Steel for 40 years, where he served as a Forman. He was also a farmer, caring for a 70-acre farm in Whitley County. A curious wonderer, Wayne was always eager to learn something new. He had a knack for fixing anything and was known for his collection of toy tractors. Wayne is survived by his wife, Tracy Krider; his children, Nicole Huston and Jarrod (Crista) Krider; his grandchildren, Jack Huston, Ava Huston, Holyn Krider, and Hayden Krider. He also leaves behind his siblings, Clarence (Alberta) Krider, Donald Krider, Tom (Lori) Krider, John Krider, Gerald "Dick" Krider, Sandi "Sis" Krider, Dee Juillerat, Joan Trantham, and Peggy (John) Trahin; his sisters-in-law, Liz Beechler and Stephanie Krider. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Sr. and Juanita Krider, and his siblings, Danny Krider, Clyde Jr., and Rista Jane MacDonald. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive family and friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Collins New Life Church. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
