Tony Horton

1950 - 2023

Tony Duane Horton passed away on June 25, 2023 after a long illness. He was born on December 16, 1950 in Salisbury. He is the son of the late J.P. and Doris Horton of Salisbury. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jo Horton; his two sons, and their families: Jon and Breeanna Horton of Peoria, Ariz. and Zach and Dayna Horton of Cranberry Twp, Pa. His seven grandchildren: Nevin, Jaci, Cayton, Kade, Kylian-Arshan, Allie, and Eden. A brother, Tim D. Horton of Maiden, and a sister, Sherry Satterfield of Gold Hill. Tony graduated from WCU and held a long career in Pharmaceuticals. He loved his work, friends, family, and his grandchildren. We have so many great memories. Arrangements: A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, from 11am-1pm at The Knight Pavilion 1925 S Main St, Salisbury, NC 28144. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
