Virginia, my love and sympathies to you in the death of your beloved husband. How you must miss him. It is through him that I became a believer in Jesus Christ who died for my sins. I thank the Lord for him and you. I helped you with VBS one year and learned my first Bible verse, Is. 53:6. Love, Claire

I have many fond memories of Pastor Kirk when he was serving at Wheaton Bible Church. I spent many days and nights in their home and saw for the first time what a Christian home looked like. I enjoyed playing with his children and it was a honor to babysit them on occasion. Walter Kirk loved visitation and canvasing the area near the churches where he served. He visited my family often. He also loved working with the youth and encouraged them to further their Christian education.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Virginia and all family members. Pastor Kirk was faithful and a mentor to young men. Pastor and Virginia were examples to all for living out Christianity moment by moment. Thank you both for your ministry to us. Mike and Kathy Oliver.

The members of South Charlotte Baptist Church are eternally indebted to Dr. and Mrs. Kirk for following the Lord's leading to plant South Charlotte Baptist Church in Pineville, NC over 40 years ago. Dr. Kirk was a true servant of God who gave up all that the world had to offer for all that God had to offer. "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to keep what he cannot lose!"
