To Aleka's dear family,

I always enjoyed working with Aleka in my capacity as a treasurer and finance committee member at our Church. She was very bright and multi-talented. Besides being a good accountant, she was an excellent singer. I enjoyed visiting a few of her band performances and hearing her voice at the Greek Festival. Speaking of the Festival, she was instrumental in its success for so many years. It was my honor to cook for her Makaria memorial meal today as a tribute to her. Rest in Peace Aleka where all pain, sorrow and suffering have fled away. May your memory be eternal!

I have so many wonderful memories of Aleka, I wouldn't know where to begin. Her laughter and smile were one of a kind, we would laugh together till my stomach ached. There are just 3 or 4 people in my life that could make me laugh that way. She had a beautiful smile. But most of all she was a very loving and forgiving woman. My memories of us are countless, especially when she started singing at the Grecian Gardens. She loved to sing in Greek and she was very good at it. She was a one of a kind person, not only did we share a relationship together, but we were coworkers also. We had many many conversations about our Greek Heritage and how much we loved it and it was a part of her life that she was very very proud. She will definitely be missed by many many people that knew her and loved her. Especially me, I will always remember her in my heart, I close my eyes and hear her laughter, hear her singing, which I will never ever forget. God grant you rest of soul Aleka in a place where there is no sorrow or pain, God sent his Angels to call you home, because he saw how tired your body had become and He didn't want you to suffer anymore. I will always love you, my mother loved you very much. I am sure she is happy to see you again. Goodbye for now Aleka, we will see each other again, May your Memory be Eternal. When I will hear certain Greek songs that you sang and loved I will be thinking about you. Yiassou Aleka mou.
