Beth Larson Obituary

1945 ~ 2012
Surrounded by her family, Beth Christine Larson, returned peacefully and with joy back to the arms of a loving Father in Heaven on January 25, 2012. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on September 11, 1945 to Glenn Angus Allred and Hazel Lorraine Creek and moved shortly thereafter to Denver, Colorado where she grew up. On June 27,1967 she was sealed to her husband Michael LaMar Larson in the Salt Lake City Temple. Beth was cherished by Mike and was the love of his life. She was a loving and gifted teacher for over 20 years in the Alpine and Granite school districts teaching English and drama and also had a special assignment as the teacher of home bound students. She was always very supportive of the agricultural interests that she and Mike shared in Utah and Wyoming. They moved to Idaho to enjoy the serenity that farm life offered and recently returned to Highland, Utah to enjoy their retirement. Her love of teaching extended to her love of the gospel and she became known as one of the greatest teachers of Gospel Doctrine. Beth loved and knew Jesus Christ well and not only taught His gospel in word, but also by her example. Her love of gardening, flowers, world travel, literature and books of all kinds were a distant second to the love that she showed for her husband and family. Her legacy will remain alive in each of us as we strive to live up to the example she set.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn and mother-in-law, Marie Busk. She is survived by her mother, Lorraine; husband, Mike; children, Jeff (Tera) Larson, Andy (ShaRee) Larson and Nicole (JB) Armstrong; brother, Eric (Cindy) Allred; sisters, Jill Allred and Gale Creek and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 11162 N. Alpine Highway, Highland, UT on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held from 6p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, UT and again from 9:45-10:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the chapel. Dear Mike and family,
I am so very sorry your sweet Beth passed away. She was such a brave and tolerant person. She showed such courage in all that she endured. She truly was valiant and endured to the end. The same goes for you and your wonderful family. I have met many families in the 32 years I have worked for IHC and you were truly one of the very best. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for you generosity and kindness to all of us the staff in TICU.
Love, Christina Babcock
