Clinton Rhea Obituary

Clinton Steven Rhea 1957 ~ 2007 Our beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away Dec. 10, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Clint was born November 11, 1957 in Salt Lake City to Charles and Lajuana Rhea. Clint grew up in West Jordan and attended and graduated from Bingham High School where he met the love of his life, Penny Hailes. They were married on August 2, 1975. Clint received his Associates Degree in Production Management from Salt Lake Community College in 1995. He started his career at a young age and remained loyal to the same company, Bucyrus Blades, later ESCO. Clint inspired and empowered those he worked with for more than 30 years. Clint's greatest joy is being surrounded by his family and friends. Clint cherishes his wife, Penny, and is so very proud of his children. He enjoys being outdoors and loves hunting and fishing, especially spending time at the family cabin in the Uinta's. Clint also enjoys long rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Clint was a very warm, loving, spiritual, passionate, trusting and loyal man. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone, expecting nothing in return. He always gave unconditionally, loved openly, and found gratitude in all of life's experiences. Memories of Clint will be with us always. Clint will be deeply missed by so many. Clint is survived by his wife, Penny; daughters: Sandy and Steffanie Rhea; son, Jeffrey Rhea; grandson, Carson Rhea; his parents, Charles and Lajuana Rhea; sisters: Cheryl Parry, Connie Berger, and Cori Smith; brothers: Chuck and Chad Rhea. He will also be missed by a large extended family, co-workers, neighbors, and friends. Funeral services will be held Sat. Dec. 15, 2007, 1 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville. A viewing will be held Dec. 14, 2007, 6 - 8 p.m. and Sat. 12-12:45 p.m. prior to the funeral services. Burial will be at Wasatch Lawn South Valley Memorial Park, 13001 S. 3600 W., Riverton, Utah.

I was in Portland at ESCO's National Sales meetings when we got word of Clint's passing. You cannot believe how much everyone there likes and respects Clint. He is considered one of the best plant managers anywhere in the world for ESCO and the one that we leaned on for ideas on how we could improve a manufacturing plant.

The sales force, those who have had the chance to know him like I have also had glowing things to say about him. Everyone of us whoever met him, likes and respects him.

We all will sincerely miss him and wish to pay our respects to you his family. May God be with you as you heal from this great loss. Our deepest sympathies to you all.

I was acquainted with Clint only briefly last winter and spring, but in those weeks I came to know his heart and we were bound as brothers forever. He was a sweet giant, a a powerful man of light and integrity. Clint inspired me to find my own strength. He held me up.

Clint possessed the greatest attribute any of of can aspire to: he was a truly kind man.

How fortunate for those on the other side who now celebrate the reunion with their long absent friend. There is joy today among the lightworkers in heaven; one of the truly good ones has made it back home.

I'm so glad Clint turned me around to give me that hug the last time I saw him. He is thoughtful and caring that way. I sat in dyad with him in one of those trainings he liked; he talked about his love of his wife and family. I was touched by his candor and authenticity. It has been my privilege and honor to know Clint and have him as part of a family of friends.
To those he left behind in this earthly arena, he cared deeply about you. His love and light will comfort you and bless your lives. ~pearl b.

My first reaction to this news was shock and then sadness, I then shifted to the memories of Clint and immediately my sadness was replaced with a smile in my heart. One thing I knew for sure about Clint is he adored his wife and loved his family. Although I knew Clint for a short time in this life I know I will see him again and share of his spirit and friendship. My prayer is that his sweet wife and family will find comfort in this. My most sincere condolences to his family. May GOD bless ya'll to find strength during this time.
