Happy Birthday little brother! Well we've been through alot of Holidays since you left.....Now your birthday. 37 years ago you graced the earth with your strong present and ability to enjoy life to it's fullest. What a "GREAT" teacher you were to all of us. I miss talking to you on my way to work, asking for advice or just talking about a lot of nothing. What a wonderful ear you had. I hope your having a good time with everyone and that your celebrating today in what ever way you can. I know I will always celebrate your life and all the amazing things that came from you being in my life.
As the song goes "Happy Birthday dear Colin, Happy Birthday to you". I love and miss you like crazy!

Dear Taylor Family,

We were so sorry to get to know lately about Colin's passing. My father just got the letter bringing the sad message.
It was so many years ago that I had met him, but the true is that his smiley face can be revoked from my memory any time. A very special, unique person. It is fully proved by those who are remaining after him to carry a part of him ahead through the life: his children and grandchildren.
The time is passing, but there are certain values that are eternal. First and foremost the Love, the Family and the Friendship. Therefore, please accept our condolences, from our whole family:

Sasha, Miki, Magda, Ivan, Andrej and Julia (Budapest, Vienna)

What an amazing family I am blessed with.
Janet I can't begin to thank you for loving my brother the way you did. I know things were hard for you at times. Colin loved you with his whole being. I thank you for being the woman that you are, the strength you have shown and the support you have given us all. You will always have a "special" place in my heart. I know I don't let you know enough how much I love you, please know that I admire your spirt and faith.
Amy, Ryan and Annie, what a father you were blessed with. He gave you total love and support and never asked for anything in return. The values that your parents have given you show in your daily lives. I am glad to know that my brother lives on in each of you.
Ben,Jesi and Gary, there couldn't be better people in this world than you are. Colin and Janet had the best of both worlds when it came to you three. You have wonderful children of your own now and I know that they will be raised with fond memories of their "PA".
Mom and Dad, what I can I say to you. You gave us all one wonderful man to love and be loved by. He was the best of you both. Your love for your children has filtered down into each of our families. Thanks for being the wonderful loving parents that you have been.
Shelly and Kris, know that I love you both very much and that I share in your sorrow of loosing "OUR" only brother. He had a special relationship with each of us and always made us feel important in his life. No matter how sick or how much pain, he was there for us in our times of need, as he was for all he loved.
I miss you Colin! Here is a huge emptyness in my life without you. I know things will get better with time and that I will see one day soon. Take care, say "HI" once in a while and keep the home fires buring for us all.

Dear Taylor family,
I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to speak with you at the funeral, but I wanted you to know how impressed I was with the services. I have always loved your family and watched through the years your great example of love and kindness towards everyone. It's been an honor to work with Janet in the Church and feel of her love. Ben, Amy, and Jesica showed such kindness and patience as they helped the grandkids prepare their song for the funeral. Each of the talks showed such love towards your pa - what an influence he had in each of your lives! I know that his legacy will live through you as you teach your own children the same values that he instilled in you. I hope that Colin now knows that he will live with you again as a family. Which of you will continue the early morning pancake tradition??!! May you be comforted at this time of sorrow and great loss.

Dear Ross and Barbara, and Family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son Colie. He was one of those people that made you feel like you were the most important person to have a conversation with at that moment. He showed genuine interest in everyone he came in contact with. Although it has been a long time since I have seen Colie, his face, (like Ross's) is still in my memory. I hope and pray that your hearts will be uplifted with all of his great memories. Love, Karen

I am so sad to hear about the loss of my American "brother" Colin who have always taken so good care of me and my family. I will always remember Colin as a warm and caring family man with a joyful smile and the sharpest of living sparks in his eyes. We are all so sad we won't be seeing his smile again when we visit Salt Lake, but we see his warm spirits remain strongly in Ryan, Amy and Annie and all his grandchildren and we hope to continue the very special friendship we have with the whole Taylor family. Now our thoughts go to the the family.

Dear Family Taylor, I am very sad to hear about Colin. Your whole family hold a choice place in my memories. I feel bad I haven't been diligent in keeping contact with all of you recently. Colin was a fresh breeze to everyone he was around. I always felt welcome to be with him and listen to his stories and philosophies-always upbeat and with a sense of humor. Although I cannot be there to pay tribute to him, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I love you all and hope to see you soon. Dave Bates

Amy and family,

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I first met your dad nearly sixteen years ago when I was a teenager in Junior High. While I initially felt intimidated by this deep-voiced cowboy, the trips to Blue Sage and his mouth watering BBQ ribs won me over. I quickly came to see him as Amy's caring father and eventually as my friend. However, he was more than a friend to me. Colin was a father figure. He was a grounding force in my life and never let my ego get too big. He was my role model.

I immensely enjoyed and benefitted from my interactions with your father. I have appreciated his curiosity and the support he has shown me. I admire Colin's commitment to family and friends. I felt privileged to visit with your father and always felt at home during our chats. Colin was always upbeat and positive even when faced with serious medical problems. I would have never know the severity of his health status had I not heard the sobering facts from Amy and Ben. Your dad didn’t let obstacles get in his way. I can't remember him ever being negative. I can only hope to lead my life in a way that your father modeled. A life grounded in genuine humility, focus on family, a strong work ethic, eternal optimism and a spirit to never ever give up. I am a better person for having know your father. I am comforted to know that he is in a better place. My prayers go out to your family.

Very truly yours,
Adnan Chaudhry

Who was the man we all loved so much? He could make you feel better with a warm touch. The man whose omelets were famous at christmas brunch, Who made letter shaped pancakes that would fill you till lunch. The man whose barbeque chicken was so great, K.F.C. was worried they would have to close their gate. The man who built a beautiful fireplace of rock, And railroad tie flower beds no one could mock. The man who loved pulling his horses at the match, Wearing his bright red team shirt all eyes he did catch. The man who would tease you at any given chance, Who loved nothing more than to watch his girls dance. The man loved to play dice all day, When he really needed to go to bed and lay. The man whose body ached with pain, Always more concerned with others, never one to complain. The man who thought his daughters were the most beautiful on earth, His grandkids he valued, billions they're worth. The man who was so proud of his only son, He loved his wife dearly, she was his only one. The man who loved his parents with all of his heart, His sisters he'll miss dearly now their apart. The man we all loved until the very end, He was our, husband, father, son,pa,brother, uncle and friend.. LOVE YOU UNCLE COLLIE!

Your family has been such an important part of my life. I'm not sure you will ever know what those summers at Blue Sage meant to me at that time in my life. Colin and I had some important, life-shaping chats riding in the blue truck to and from Wanship. In many ways, he was truly a father to me. I am sad I did not see him as often as I would have liked over the past few years. Ross, Barbara, Janet, Amy, Annie and Ryan~ we love you. Thank you for sharing yourselves and your dad with us.

Janet: I was so sad to read about Colins passing. We had so many good times during High School . He was always such a crazy guy to be around. I'm sure the kids are just like him too. My thoughts are with you during this time.
