Darrell Hafen Obituary

Darrell Graff Hafen, age 84, died Labor Day weekend.
He was born in Utah's Dixie and is survived by his immediate family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, and thousands of relatives world wide. Darrell was an outgoing energetic man who once said "if you start something, don't quit until it's finished", a belief he continually demonstrated up to the end of his life. Darrell served in the Coast Guard during World War II as a radio operator communicating in Morse code. He served a mission for his church in Belgium France and then spent two years in Switzerland doing research on family genealogy. Darrell attended U of U Law School, spoke French, German and Spanish, played the piano, and loved to sing. Darrell is finally at rest and will be buried with honor at the VA cemetery in Salt Lake County.
"The Tao is called the Great Mother:
empty yet inexhaustible,
it gives birth to infinite worlds.
It is always present within you.
You can use it any way you want." ~ Stephen Mitchell
