Gone too soon, but not forgotten

I only worked with David for about a year at the Marriott City Center back in about 2006; however, to this day I clearly remember his kindness, welcoming personality, positive energy, excitement and humor. I kept in touch for a little while playing softball with him and when I’d run into him downtown... and every time I saw him he made me feel like we’ve known each other for a lifetime.
When I saw he past I knew I had to write something because my heart dropped as if we were very close because of how kindly he treated me during my first impactful years of the real world out of school.
My heart goes out to his family!

Dave, you filled my childhood with tons of laughter! So many of the stories I tell my kids (plus a whole lot more) about growing up include you! Paint balling, church basketball, snowboarding, scouts, middle school, all include you! You made me laugh harder than anyone else I have ever met! Thanks for giving me such a memorable childhood! I’m sorry we lost contact for so many years! I’m glad I got to see you last time I was back home...laughing about the good old days was awesome. I look forward to seeing you again in the eternities when we can reminisce of the joys of our childhood mortality! Rest In Peace my friend!

That is a wonderful and true description of Dave. He was delightful, kind and fun. He will be missed a ton.
Our hearts and prayers go out to you at this terrible time.
