David Shewell Obituary

Dec. 3, 1964 ~ Jan. 30, 2013
Dave, the son of Judy George and David J. Shewell, passed away unexpectedly in Salt Lake City, UT.
He grew up in Holladay and Bountiful, attending Woods Cross High School and Weber State College. Worked in sales most of his life, most recently in real estate. He married Denise LaPreal Campbell later divorced. Married Minna Higley later divorced.
Dave was known as a first rate prankster with a contagious personality that put people at ease and drew a smile and laughs from everyone he met. He was always thinking of others, never expecting anything in return.
He loved the outdoors, boating, skiing, hiking, motorcycling, puppy kisses, chocolate orange sticks and reaching out to others.
He was not perfect, but Dave was working toward gaining an understanding of his Savior and the power of the Atonement.
He is survived by his son, Chandler, sisters Jan (Randy), Chris (Terry), Sandy (Lloyd); brothers Brian, Chad, Sean (Jackie), Austin; father David (Lynda); stepmom Lynda (Rick); additional siblings Deb, Rich, Val, Stef, Mike, Mark, Michelle and countless beloved family members and dear friends.
Preceded in death by mother, Judy and stepfather/dad, Richard Allison.
Special thanks to Jeff Moffat and Matt Passey for their brotherly friendship and support.

Dave, it's been eight years and the love you created in your lifetime continues. People you touched are still reaching out to others with love.

"Reach out and touch somebody's hand, make this world a better place if you can..."

Shewell has been my friend for a long time. I Will miss him. He was always there when you needed something. He was always concerned about me and my family.
At this time I ask a blessing to be with his family, and may the light of our Savior be with them and enlighten them.

I The Lord will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is required to forgive all men.

It's amazing to me how upsetting this is after all these years. I feel very blessed that Dave recently contacted me and we were able to apologize to each other for all the pain we caused each other back then. We chalked it up to getting married too young. My heart goes out to his loved ones that were close to him more recently......Very Sad.

I will miss you my dear friend. Our silly times spent together and the comfort of each others company, I will cherish forever. U always had the power to make me laugh even when I didn't want to. I'll always remember you and the moments we shared together. You'll always be in my heart. May our heavenly father now adorn you with an abundance of everlasting love. U will be missed greatly. I'll cherish our time spent here on earth.

I have felt the tender spirit of my brother since yesterday. He has already shifted ("twinkled") into his true self, so don't expect him to relate to you in quite the same way, but continue to be prepared for smiles - he is still a prankster! Know that the warm thoughts you feel are from Dave himself via the grace of our Savior and our Father in Heaven. Dave, I love you - all I ask is that if you prank me, don't get me wet. ;o)

I will miss your smile, your laugh and your infectious personality. I know there is a tremendous void in this world with you gone. I am grateful to know that Jesus Christ is our advocate with the Father and he knows us completely and through his Atonement the healing can be complete. I love and will miss you my friend. I pray for peace and comfort for those left behind.
