The son of Douglas Lavar (Deceased) And Arla Jean (Bowles) Blackwell, father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away doing one of many things he enjoyed, riding his motorcycle. He life was full of friends, stories and many hobbies including ranching and his vast knowledge of the construction field. He also was a US Army veteran and held the rank of SSGT, and was very patriotic, he wore his uniform proudly. He will be deeply missed by his only daughter Candice and her two sons Anthony (Tbone) Bowles and Joseph (Tspoon) Bowles, Mother Arla, brothers Marc, Leonard, and Kevin and many friends. Most people knew him by his big smile and calm demeanor, but we called him a social butterfly. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

I remember Doug and the rest of the family from our teen years on Cheyenne street! I ran into Doug later on and was totally impressed by the fine man he had become. It was a pleasure to know him. Rest in Peace.

I am very saddened to hear of Douglas passing away, especially in such a tragic accident.I have fond memories of Douglas and the short time we spent together. He taught me how to play the guitar and tried to coach me in singing, as he told me I had a beautiful voice. Arla, I am so sorry for your loss, he loved you so much and wanted to always make sure he was there to take care of you and fix things for you! May God give you comfort in this sad time. My thoughts and prayers are with your family!Tammy (Moore) Fleig

I will always remember his charming, and calming smile. He was so nice and outgoing. I only had the pleasure to meet him once but it was a meeting to last a life time. He will be missed by so many and remembered by all...

I'm remember going up to your cabin and us shooting guns of all kinds and when my mom first married your brother you taught me how to ride a horse which I was very scared and never thought that I would do. I remember making peanut butter cookies for you just because you said they were the best. You will be deeply missed from your jokes and you just being an amazing man. May you rest in peace.
