Salt Lake City, UT-Erlynne Joan Johnson, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. She was born April 25, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Elwyn Parry and Clara Gehring. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from South High School in 1952. She married the love of her life, Wayne Gust Johnson, on November 30, 1951; solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1958.
Erlynne had 12 children, 49 grandchildren, 84 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishment was her family. She loved her family with all her heart.
Survived by her children: David (Loretta) Johnson; Diane (James) Sorensen; Scott (Rachelle) Johnson; Stephen (Michelle-deceased) Johnson; Kimberly (Marti) Walker; Paul Johnson; James (Naomi) Johnson; Michael Johnson; Deborah Johnson; Judith Dixon (Jerry Cochran)
Preceded in death by her husband and two daughters: Kathleen (Tommy) Cole; and Laura Johnson.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2101 W 3100 S, West Valley City, Utah. Visitation - Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services - Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Viewing preceding from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Interment immediately following the services at Utah Veterans Cemetery, 17111 South 1700 West, Bluffdale, Utah.
Flowers for the services can be sent to Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah.
