Garrett Olson Obituary

Garrett James Olson

1981 ~ 2023

West Jordan, UT- Our precious son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend, Garrett James Olson, was taken from us suddenly and unexpectedly on Dec. 19, 2023 at the age of 42.

Garrett was born on February 1, 1981, to George Robert Olson and Susan Wilcox Olson in Salt Lake City, UT.

Garrett was very bright, and from the early age of ten he began developing an extraordinary aptitude for computer technology. His dad owned and operated a computer repair service, and Garrett always had the most current computer resources and technology available to him. Once he began exploring this field, there was no stopping him! He absorbed all of the new technology as it progressed throughout the years and became extremely proficient in the area of computer science. If there was anything wrong with a computer, internet, or cell phone, Garrett was able to fix it, no matter what it was!

Garrett's family and friends all knew him as a kind, easy going young man who was always willing to help whenever needed. He was our "gentle giant!" His dad was his very best friend in the world.

Garrett is survived by his parents; father, Robert Olson (Kathryn), mother, Susan Ferguson (Charles), his two sisters; Erika Olson Romero (Nick) Katie Alisa Webb (Austin); many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be planned at a later date.

We will miss you every day, Garrett!
