Jeanne passed away Thurs March 29, 2018 of causes incident to her 90 year age. She was born April 15, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Ut, to Harold James Kemp and Irene Nalder Kemp. She grew up in the home on 1300 South, where she attended Uintah, Roosevelt Jr. and East High schools. She graduated from the University of Ut, with a degree in education. Jeanne first taught school at Bear River High, followed by Roosevelt, Irving and Hillside junior high schools in Salt Lake City, retiring after 35 years teaching. She married, later divorced, Theodore W. Olsen.
She is survived by her brother Jim Kemp (Linda), grandsons Brian (Barbara) and Shawn Olsen, great grand children Breanna and Hayden Olsen, cousin - best friend Lynne Crowder and several special nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Scott Olsen, daughter Janet Olsen, and great grand daughter Michelle Olsen. Jeanne spent 9 years living with and taking care of her windowed mother on East Blaine Ave, where Jeanne continued to live until her passing. The family wants to especially thank Mark at Alta Ridge Assisted Living, and Emily at Millcreek Hospice, who so kindly cared for Jeanne the last 18 months of her life.
Funeral services will be at Noon Wed April 4, at Foothill 3rd Ward, 1933 South 2100 East. A viewing will begin at 10:00 am preceding the funeral. The burial at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery will follow the funeral.
