Josephine Olga Young Korous

Josephine Olga Young Korous 04/10/13 ~ 06/30/05 MAGNA - Jo was one of six children born to Joseph Alva and Louie Valeria Black Young. As children they would play hide and seek and leave her behind. They all have left this earth and now she has found them. Jo heard the "Olie olie oxin come home free" and joined them. Josephine held many positions in the LDS Church and served with faithfulness and dedication. She loved to play scrabble, gin rummy and cribbage. Jo challenged all comers and loved winning, which she did, most of the time. She was a voracious reader, one with eclectic taste, and faithfully read the scriptures and other recommended church books. We will miss her. She married Edward Amos Korous, September 9, 1935 and together they had three children, Joanne (Peter) Meyburg, Keith Edward (Dottie) Korous, Michael Alan (Nikki) Korous; 17 grandchildren; 47 great - grandchildren; six great great - grandchildren. Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; all of her siblings; and three grandchildren. Special thanks to hospice, especially Ann and Clarisia for their excellent care; and her granddaughters, Stephanie and Cami; along with the other family members for faithfully caring for her physical needs. Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Friday, July 8, 2005, at the Pleasant Green 1st Ward, 8739 West 3000 South, Magna. Friends may call at the church 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Pleasant Green Cemetery.
