Joshua Stephenson Obituary

Joshua James Stephenson 5/14/82 ~ 10/21/06 "Grandpa's Wingman" Beloved husband, "daddy to be", loving son, grandson and friend to anyone who had the opportunity to meet and know him. Joshua James Stephenson, born May 14, 1982, to adoring parents Lisa Buchanan Maust and Mark James Stephenson. Josh married his "Sweetheart" Corine on October 15, 2005. Together they began a beautiful journey mixed with friendship, laughter, love and hope. Josh worked hard, played hard and loved unconditionally. He had many dreams for his family and friends, took on many responsibilities, overcame many obstacles and did it with an open and genuine heart. Josh embraced life, seized every moment, and proved to be a man above most men. He would be the first to step up if you needed help. He'd just be there, often without even being asked. He was a rare character, he made things happen, he had integrity. Josh was truly loved, admired, and respected by family and friends alike. He has made such an impression, such an impact, in this life that there will be no way to heal the void in our hearts. Josh was a man of many talents. He had strong, independent, and giving spirit, adventurous to say the least. He enjoyed the outdoors, driving fast, his dogs, anything he could build or fix, and a good practical joke, but most importantly his family. He just wanted to live life to the fullest and share with his loved ones. Josh is survived by his sweetheart and mate "Rin", and his light of hope, his little girl "Brylee" waiting to come into this world, his mother, Lisa; sisters, Stephanie (Sean) and Jennifer; niece, Athena, his princess; his grandmothers Delores and Sharron, and many extended family members, Preceded in death by his father, Mark James Stephenson, and his grandfather, Ray Buchanan, his "wingman". Words cannot express all that needs to be said, his work here now complete, moves on to another journey and waits for us. "Birth is the death of the life we had known and death is the birth of a new life to begin" In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joshua Stephenson Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27 2006, 12:00 noon at Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington. (across form Cherry Hill) Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Friday morning from 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery.
