Kay Samuelson Obituary
May 27, 1938 - Nov. 12, 2015
South Jordan, UT-Kay Samuelson, age 77, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in SLC, UT to Everett and Helen Fredrickson. She married Emil James Samuelson Jr. (Jim) on June 1, 1956. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 27, 1962. Kay was always an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved and lived the gospel and served in many callings. She loved spending time with her family at Bear Lake. She loved to crochet, travel and spend her time serving others. Preceded in death by: parents, 1 sister, and 1 brother. She was survived by the love of her life, Jim. Children: Tom (Pam), Jon (Michelle), Kevin, Lecia (Randy), Emily (Stephen), Todd (Debbie), 27 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the South Jordan Highland Stake Center, 10200 South 4000 West at 11:00 am. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 6 pm-7:30 pm at Redwood Memorial 6500 South Redwood Road and on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the chapel from 9:30-10:30 am. Her interment will be at Redwood Memorial 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.

Dear Jim and Samuelson families, I send you all mine and Debbie's most heart filled loved and sympathy. What a precious and wonderful lady that Kaye is. Such a great example of courage and faith and love did she always magnify and she is truly a great daughter of Heavenly Father. I can never remember a time that she didn't express her love for our family, especially my parents. Jim, you and your sweet companion have to your credit a wonderful and large family of decedent's, such great kids, grandkids, great grandkids,so amazing your parents who now welcome Kaye home are so pleased with your family efforts. I know the plan of happiness is true and because of our Redeemer's Atonement you will be with your sweet mother again.
