Edith Lina Arlt Holm
February 18, 1924 – December 10, 2025

Edith Lina Arlt Holm (age 101) peacefully returned to her Father in Heaven on December 10, 2025. Edith was born on February 18, 1924, in Gehlsdorf, Germany to the late Wilhem Gustav Arlt and Johanna Lina Mossig. Both her parents lost brothers in WWI.

Her parents learned how to be frugal and yet grateful for what little they had. This trait was passed down to future generations. Edith came to America with her family in 1925, settling in the Salt Lake City area. Edith loved art, music and dance. We would often see her dancing in the kitchen. She always had a hot breakfast for us each morning, as well as a homemade packed lunch to take to school.

On December 28, 1945, Edith was united in marriage to Charles Arthur Holm, who preceded her in death. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on March 20, 1951.

Edith is survived by her 6 children and their spouses: Charles (Marsha), Jeffrey (Candy), Kenneth (Levi), Jolene (David) Bass, Lynette (Carl) Kubat, Jennifer (Barry) Gregory. Edith, to date, is blessed with 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Her family often relocated due to Chuck's, her husband, work. They lived in Utah, Idaho, Virginia and California. Each move brought challenges and blessings to the family.

Edith's Latter-day Saint Christian faith proved to be the foundation for her family. Edith was loved by all who were blessed to know her.. Her entire life was dedicated to her family and her Savior Jesus Christ. Her genuine love and service was an example to all.
