Linda Steiner Obituary

Linda Gayle Smith Steiner
1950 ~ 2012
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away peacefully Sunday, April 15th, 2012.
Linda Gayle Smith Steiner was born December 28th, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Calvin G. and Pauline Smith. She married John E. Steiner on April 7th, 1969 and they just celebrated 43 years of marriage. Together, they raised three beautiful children. Linda was a gifted homemaker and always welcomed her family and friends with open arms. She hosted many dinners and parties with the greatest of ease. Whenever one arrived at her home, it sparkled from top to bottom and there was always something yummy to eat. She was always the life of the party, with a contagious smile, and her delightful laugh could be heard for miles. Linda enjoyed travel, trips to Lake Powell, doing things for others, and most of all she loved her family. Always energetic, she touched many hearts with her love and caring ways and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her husband, John E. Steiner; sons, John (Linette) Steiner and Paul (Misty) Steiner; daughter, Pamela (Zach) Kelser; mother, Pauline Smith; father and stepmother, Calvin (Carol) Smith; brothers, Nick (Susan) Smith, Robert (Stephanie) Smith, Shaun Smith; sisters, Tammy (Max) Trujillo, Stacy Lund; sisters-in-law, Judi (Larry) Kirigin, Carol Smith; grandchildren, Jadynn, Megan, Zachery, Braden, Mia, Isabella, Angelo, and Emiliano; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by her brother, Danny.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, Salt Lake City. Following the service, there will be an open-house gathering at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
