Lucile Harmon Obituary

Lucile Houtz Harmon 1913 ~ 2005 Lucile, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away October 7, 2005 in Bennion, UT. She was born January 30, 1913 in Mapleton, UT to Austin Houtz and Martha Allan. She married L. Elroy Harmon September 26, 1935 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church throughout her life, and served faithfully as organist, Relief Society president, and in many other positions. She spent her life in the service of others and was devoted to her family. She is survived by nine of her 10 children, Darwin (Lura) of Midvale, Sherril (Irene) of Mesa, AZ, LaRue Reay (George) of Altamont, Thomas (Karen) of West Jordan, Wayne (Rita) of South Jordan, Mozelle Szy-manski (Lon) of South Jordan, Dean (Marylin) of West Valley City, O.J. (Janice) of West Valley City, and Joyce Livingston (Gary) of Las Vegas, NV; 48 grandchildren; 89 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; and daughter, Euleta Merrill. A special thanks to Kathleen Morris, Rita Iordanides, Rebecca Lindberg, and Diana Doreton of Arbor Senior Care. Services will be held at Bennion 12th Ward, 6540 So. 2700 West, Monday, October 10, 2005 at 11 a.m. Viewing will be Sunday, 6-8 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Monday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery, Springville, UT.
