Murray, UT-Lucy B Harr passed away on October 21, 2017 at Canyon Creek Memory Care Center after over a year-long battle with Alzheimer's/Lewy Body Dementia. Lucy was born in Mt Vernon/Bronx New York, she lived there until about the age of five years old. That's when her family moved to Utah. Lucy has been a Murray Resident for about 75 years, she graduated from Murray High School in 1954. She Married Bud Harr and together they had three children, later they divorced. Lucy was a strong, independent, and determined woman, she worked very hard her entire life, she was dedicated to her family and close friends. Lucy retired from MBI Inc which gave her time to enjoy her hobbies that included, gardening, bowling, and playing slot machines. She was an avid book reader, her book collection had all sorts of Genre's. Other hobbies were bunco and in her earlier years she was a seamstress. One of Lucy's favorite sayings were "It's A Great Life, If You Don't Weaken" she lived by that motto throughout her life. Preceded in Death by her parents Edgar Blinston (1977) Clara Ludwig Blinston (1982) her son Neal Alan Harr (1955) her daughter Judy Ann Walker (2010) Sisters Cathy Malen (1997) and Ruth Richards (2005). Lucy is survived by her son Kevin Harr (Annette) her soul sister Jeanie Yamaguchi and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. We would like to thank IHC Hospice and The Staff at Canyon Creek Senior living, for all their help with taking care of our beloved mother and grandmother.
Services will be held for Lucy Harr on October 28, 2017 at Murray City Cemetery whereby, there will be a short graveside service at 11 am sharp. Afterwards the family would like to invite you to a luncheon following the service approximately at 12:30 pm at The Holiday Inn Express in Murray 5429 Commerce Dr, Murray, UT 84107.
