Marjorie George Obituary

"Jeanie"
Jeanie, as many affectionately called her, was born on May 20, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the only child of Leonard and Janet Marjorie Taylor Munk.
She graduated in 1950 from East High School with many cherished lifelong memories. She met her eternal sweetheart, William Allen George Jr., at LDS Business College, married in 1952, and sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in 1957.
She spent her life as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, road trips, car rides, drawing, spending time with family, and randomly singing "Let Me Call You Sweetheart."
Marjorie was 82 years old at the time of death. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, David Christian George and his wife, Johnna Lee Zenger George. She is survived by her children, Leonard Munk George, William Allen George III, and Peter Clarkson George (Ora Lue Stevens George). She has 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Church located at 1078 S McClelland St. (Approx. 1050 E), Salt Lake City, Utah, on Friday, July 19th at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing that morning from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be at the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park at 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd (Redwood) Bluffdale, Utah immediately following the funeral service. Online condolences may be shared at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
The family thanks Hillside Care Center for their care and kindness.
Her infectious smile, playfulness, and sweet spirit will be missed. Until we meet again, we are happy she is with her Heavenly Father.
