Melissa Keys Obituary

June 27, 1939 ~ Nov. 8, 2016
Melissa passed away in her East Millcreek home on November 8, 2016. She had a passion for the simple beauties in the world and a zest for all life had to offer. She loved the three G's (golfing, gardening, and gambling), was a true Foodie and she made a wicked Grey Goose Cosmo.
Melissa's three children, Mike Iba (Peggy), Linda Hilbert, and Pamela Stewart, her husband and the love of her life, Lyle O. Keys, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three step-children will have a big hole in their hearts with her absence. Melissa was preceded in death by Muffin and Dolly, who are meeting her under the Rainbow Bridge.
We want to say a special thank you to Meg and Bonnie at IMC Palliative Care, Launa, Valerie, and Diana at Rocky Mountain Hospice, and the caregivers at Danville Support Service - each and every one are guardian angels. We also want to thank Melissa's many friends for giving her such joy and laughter.
At Melissa's request, in lieu of donations, please send flowers...to someone. Melissa loved flowers. Since she hated the winter, a celebration of her life will be coming in Spring 2017.

What a lady! I have such great memories of her and can hear her laugh now. Her energy and confidence set such a great example for me growing up. What a smart, caring, independent woman. I wish I could give her one last hug. Sending love.

I met Melissa in 1971 as a partner across the bridge table. She had a great sense of humor, was a good bridge player and loved golf. I am saddened by her passing and will cherish good memories of years past. Condolences to her family.
