1975 ~ 2016
Micheal David Junkins II was born on Oct 28, 1975 in Santa Monica, CA.
Micheal grew up in Malibu, CA while attending Our Lady of Malibu Catholic School & Loyola High school. His senior year of high school the family moved to Bakersfield, CA where he graduated from Garces High School. He went on to Bakersfield Junior College where he continued playing football for a year at which point Utah State University offered him a football scholarship. He graduated from Utah State University in 1999 and moved to Sandy, UT where he established a successful Residential appraisal business.
Micheal's primary driving force was the love & care of his two sons, Mikey & Tyson. His first son, Micheal David Junkins III, was born in 2007 and his second son, Tyson Lee, was born in 2011. In 2015 Mike met the love of his life Whitney Temple, he then proposed to her while on vacation. Mike had been pre deceased by his grandparents, Al & Eleanor Starlin & aunt, Patty Sumner
Micheal was a generous and giving friend, a devoted son to Mary Ellen Junkins, brother to Sean Junkins and fiancé Courtney Craig, as well as Micheal's fiancé Whitney Temple, but best known for his love & devotion as a father & family man.
A gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah.

Mike and I were friends back in the days at OLM and Loyola, so I'm very sorry to read this news. He was taken far too soon. May you all find strength to cope with his absence in the days, months, and years ahead. Sincerest condolences.

Mike was my friend, my colleague, my roommate, and my brother. His dedication and devotion to others was evident to anyone who knew him. Mike was a big heart surrounded by kindness, compassion, loyalty, and friendliness. I will forever love you Junk, and I wish to express my deep sympathy to Mamma Mary Ellen and Sean-y, Mikey and Tyson, Whitney, and Uncle Jack.
My favorite memory of Mike was spending Thanksgiving in San Diego where his family welcomed me as one of their own. Uncle Jack took us to Rosarita, Mexico where we visited a golf resort and ate homemade chips and salsa while watching the ocean waves crash on the shore.
Love ya man, miss ya, and God bless those who you have touched throughout your lifetime. Late!

I can't begin to describe how sad the news of Mike's passing has made me. I've known Mike Professionally for over five years, and he has been so wonderful to work with knowing that he was the guy we could always count on.
Mike - I will miss your happy and helpful disposition, and the laughter that accompanied our friendly chats. Rest in peace, my friend, knowing that God will put angels in your sons' lives to help them through this life. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with your family and loved ones as they cope with this loss. May they find comfort in each other. God bless.
