Myrna Larsen Obituary

Myrna BrownLarsen "Nurturer"  BICKNELL, UT - Our beloved wife, mother, Grandma Myrna, Aunt Myrna, sister and friend, Myrna Brown Larsen, age 65, of Bicknell, left us to be with our Father in Heaven and family members February 22, 2003. Mom was born April 28, 1937 in Loa, UT a daughter of Charles LaVor and May Taylor Brown. She married John Richard Larsen in the Manti LDS Temple Nov 23, 1955. She was active in the LDS Church and served in numerous positions; served in the DUP in different offices; a long-term member of the Bicknell Literary Club; the Odd Tuesday reading club; the birthday club; and she was a lifetime supporter of high school athletics. She always had a house full of friends and family who were sent away with food, drink and friendship. Myrna was beloved by all of the young people, and served as the school lunch cook. She could sing, act, paint, and was a master storyteller. She encouraged her grandkids to participate in the Junior Livestock program with the animals. She had a full-time job taking care of the animals, keeping the sheep out of her flowers, and the "manure" out of her house. She had the unconditional love that held us together as a family and extended family. Myrna is survived by her husband and friend of 47 adventurous years; two daughters, JoAnn Larsen, James-town, CA, Janet (Troy) Morgan, Mon-roe; one son, Greg Richard (Brooke) Larsen, Bicknell; grandchildren, Jared, Jake, Jenny Jones, Kennedy, Spencer Larsen, Matthew, Hannah Morgan; brother, Arlen (Lorna) Brown, Loa; sisters, Owona (Wade) Grundy, Loa, Lois Brown, Central Valley; sisters-in-law, Nadine Brown Taylor, Loa, Phyllis Larsen Heaton, Washington, UT; brothers-in-law, Lowell (Gatha) Larsen, Rock Springs, WY, Homer Larsen, Salt Lake City, Royce Allen, Bennion; many loving nieces, nephews, extend-ed family, and friends. Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Earl Brown, Dale Brown; and one sister, Erma Allen. Services will be Wed. Feb 26, 2003 1 p.m. Loa LDS Stake Center, 20 S. 100 W, Loa. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 N. 400 W, Richfield, Tues. 6-8 p.m. and at the stake center in Loa, Wed. 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. prior to the services. Burial, Bicknell Cemetery. The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, staff, friends and family for their tender loving care of our dear mother. Mom, we will never see a sunset without thinking of you. Online guest book at www.springerturner.com

We will miss Myrna very much. It was always a joy to see her at the ball games and over to Grandmas house. The kids always enjoyed their hugs from Aunt Myrna. She will be missed deeply. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Dear Richard, JoAnn, Janet, Greg and family:

We want to thank you for letting us be with you and your family in sharing the last hours of our sweet sister-in-law and aunt’s life. We share deeply with you in your grieve, for Myrna has filled many roles in our lives especially the past two years with the passing of our wife and mother, Erma. She has comforted us with her love, care, and thoughtfulness and has always been wonderful in so many ways to our family, as have all of you. We are also grateful for the enthusiasm she had for the Brown Family History book project and her great contributions, and are saddened she was unable to see it through to the end. Please know we love you all and want you to call upon us at anytime.

Our prayers are with you now and always,

Love Royce, Debbie and Lee, Laurie, Gary and Tresa, Jeff and Brenda, and our entire family.

I would like to convey my deepest sympathy to the family of Myrna. I was very surprised to read of her death. She was always so funny and yes, had a good story to go along with any conversation. I would also like to pass along the sympathy of my parents, Ted and Wanda Knowles, with whom they shared alot of good times! I know they will be saddened to hear of this. My thoughts are with you.
