Rose Christensen Obituary

Rose Ellen Cawley Christensen 1913 ~ 2005 FILLMORE: Rose Ellen Cawley Christen, 91, passed away June 16, 2005 at the Fillmore Community Medical Center. She was born July 27, 1913 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Richard and Emily Tucker Cawley. She married Christian Joseph Christensen October 8, 1929 in Manti, Utah and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on March 5, 1952. Rose loved to crochet, quilt, and cook. She enjoyed canning and cooking for her family. She enjoyed reading and loved the scriptures. She was a kind and compassionate woman and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Mary Em (Edward) Hanson of Salem, Oregon; Christie (Reid) Penney of Fillmore, Utah; Robert (Zoe) Christensen of Flowell, Utah; David (Gaye) Christensen of Fillmore; and Stephen (Jeanne) Christensen of Henderson, Nevada. She has 22 grandchildren and 78 great-grandchildren; one half sister, Bessie Johnson of California. She was preceded in death by her husband Christian, a son Joseph and a brother Richard Cawley. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fillmore LDS 1st Ward Chapel. Friends and family can pay their respects on Monday at the Church from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Fillmore City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Southern Utah Mortuary.
