You sweet mother was my mentor as I began my teaching career. She taught me to find the joy in working with children and to teach from my heart. I remember her as a master teacher who understood children and sought to do what was best for them in every way. She demonstrated wisdom and kindness in working with both adults and children, and she recognized the good in everyone. I will always remember her teaching us to recognize the needs around us and get to work addressing them. She will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.

Sending sympathy and love to the family of lovely, beautiful, talented and spiritual Ruth. I remember her leading the music in Primary at our Yalecrest Ward and later working with my stepmother in various church callings and neighborhood gatherings. She was always smiling with a loving, warm greeting and an inspiration with her teaching abilities. May you be blessed with peace and great memories, and gratitude for the wonderful legacy she leaves.

Ginny, Mark & Family,
Mike & I have admired your parents ever since moving to our home on Laird Ave. just around the corner from your family home. As we raised our children there, we could count on the Lundgrens as bright, solid and very caring individuals.
Ruth's ability to teach and relate to children was an example to all of us. I appreciated how I learned the word "steady" from her as she spoke, intereacted and encouraged every child with whom she engaged. She introduced me to one of my favorite books for little ones, "The Bundle Book."
When she bought Christmas wrapping paper from our son for a Bonneville School fundraiser, I joined him as we made a visit to your mom. I will never forget how she treated him with such repect--and as "an equal."
It is a sweet thought of Alan & Ruth together again. They had a wonderful relationship.
Sending our love to you,
Jackie (& Mike) Leavitt

Dear Mark and Lundgren Family...
As you already know, your Mom (and Dad) were great examples, and so you, too turned out so well. She and your family members have carried a marvelous and deserved reputation, forever, in our Princeton Avenue area.
May the Good Lord comfort and cheer you, and your entire wonderful family, until we all meet again.
Warmest wishes!
Dave & Terese Cracroft

As a neighbor and my father's first cousin, I enjoyed many conversations with Ruth. She was quite a support and occasionally a lunch companion to her over 100 year old musician neighbor who died not long ago and Ruth rejoiced in telling me about his adventures of taking entertainment to care centers where all the residents were younger than him. My condolences and love to her family; any teacher, such as she, merits great honors.

Our condolences to her family and friends. Ruth was proud of her pioneer ancestors. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and joined in 1962.

I have such fond memories of our next door neighbors, the Lundgrens. Your mother always greeted you with a friendly smile. What a wonderful long life she led. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Ginny and Mark.

A wonderful lady and a great dinner companion at many gatherings at her home and Howard and Andrea's. A gentlewoman and a scholar.
