Samuel David Thurman III

Samuel David Thurman, III 1941 ~ 2005 Samuel David Thurman, III died May 10, 2005 in Salt Lake City of respiratory failure. He was born in Salt Lake January 3, 1941 to Emeline Nebeker and Samuel David Thurman, Jr. He made his home in Utah and California and traveled widely. He received his B.A. from Stanford University and an M.S. in Library Science from Denver University. He was law librarian for White & Case of New York City. David loved books, classical music, good food, and the exchange of ideas. He kept nine parakeets. He is survived by his mother, Emeline Thurman; sisters, Sally (John) Ware, Salt Lake, and Sura Hart, Santa Barbara, CA; brother, Walter (Rita) Thurman, Raleigh, NC; uncle and aunt Richard W.Y. and Marie Anton Thurman, Salt Lake; and good friend, Neil Demsky, Salt Lake.
