Scott was born May 19th, 1967 in Salt Lake City, Utah and peacefully passed away October, 17th, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Scott (48) is the son of the late David L. Whetman and is survived by his immediate family; mother, Judy (Don); "bonus" mother, Patricia; sister, Sonya (Kevin); sister, Stacy (Jason). Daughters Danielle and Ariel; nephews Tyson (Jaxon David), Zakkary, Kruz and JJ; and his nieces, Kayla, Taylee and Jayci.
Also surviving are his 7 "bonus" sisters and 3 "bonus" brothers; many "bonus" nephews & nieces; also many uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Whetman, Grandfather L. Abraham Whetman, Grandmother's, Dora I. Whetman and Mary J. Reese-Taylor, Great Uncle John C. Whetman.
Scott was an honor student in high school, and served in the Air Force. He loved the outdoors and being in the wilderness, and photographing animals and nature. He had a heart of gold and went out of his way for anyone and everyone. But most of all, his greatest love was his family.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, October 23rd, at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Funeral Home, 1007 W South Jordan Pkwy. (10600 S), South Jordan, UT. Viewing will be held 10:00-11:45 prior to services. Interment will be held at Mountain View Memorial Estates.

Judy, Sonja and Stacy,
I am so sorry to hear of Scott's passing. He was my best friend from pre-school through middle school. So many of my happiest childhood memories include Scott. Mrs Whetman, your peanut butter sandwiches were the best ever. :)
May God bless and comfort you at this sad time.
Scott, I always think of you when i hear "Silly Love Songs".

Scott, you came into my life just a short time ago, I don't let many people in, you would not take "no" for an answer, you got to my heart, the house is so quiet, Sahara misses you! I miss you, I miss the nights of watching The Big Bang Theory with you, even when we had our differences we still talked through it, my heart hurts, I hope you find peace and happiness on the other side, I hope the pain is gone. I love you, your friend, your brother, FOREVER!
