Shauna Davis Nelson
Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and friend has been called home. Shauna Davis Nelson, 73, of West Jordan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday Morning October 8, 2025 in her home, surrounded by the love of her family and her devoted husband, Tom.
From the very beginning, she possessed a rare gift - the ability to make everyone feel like family. Her warmth, her infectious laughter, and her unconditional acceptance created a home where love knew no boundaries.
Her life with Tom was a beautiful adventure that began when they met in their bowling league, and continued through countless camping trips, peaceful days fishing, and treasured moments in Fruitland, Utah, where they found joy in simply being together. Whether she was welcoming someone into her home or relaxing by the water, Shauna had a way of turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and James Davis, her beloved sister Jan, and her daughter Wendy (Tom's daughter, whom she loved as her own).
She is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years, Tom Nelson, who was truly the love of her life. Shauna's heart was boundless, and she cherished all of her children equally: her son Brian, her daughter Jamie, and Tom's children, whom she loved and embraced as her own from the day they became a family. She is also survived by her brother James, her sisters Sharlene, Marlene, and Lynn, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to her life.
Shauna will be remembered for her extraordinary capacity to love - her kindness touched everyone she met, and her laughter filled every room. She treasured every moment with her friends and family. To know Shauna was to feel welcomed, valued, and loved exactly as you are.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Please celebrate in your hearts the happiness and joy she brought to this world.
