We will always remember dear Sister Finlayson for her positive, loving, happy ways. Her courage, faith, determaination and endurance were a great example to all of her fellow missionaries. She willingly submitted to whatever became her lot in life with a smile. She was a woman of extraordinary talents. We appreciate her patience while teaching the sisters the art of croqueting. She was truly an artist with her handwork. We miss her and will always keep a remembrance in our hearts for the wonderful times we had together. She and John were outstanding missionaries and mentors to all of us here at the Mormon Battalion Visitors' Center. We will deeply miss our dear Lou and John's wonderful service and spirit here in San Diego.

Elder Finlayson, this is Elder Brad Ross, who served with you both down at the MCRD for a while. I am sorry, and express my love and appreciation for the examples you both set for me, and the love that I felt from you both.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. We were so sorry to hear of Aunt Lou's passing. Although we were not very close with her she was always so nice and caring when we would see her. She is truly one of a kind!!
