William V. Murdock, (Bill), beloved brother, father and friend passed away February 18th after a battle with a progressive lung disease. Bill was born in Salt Lake City to William Henry Murdock and Henrietta Jewel Jenson. Bill was the eldest of 5 kids and took his job as big brother very seriously. Family was always of greatest importance and his life stories always included adventures with his siblings and cousins. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States, having served in the Marines. He served one tour in the Vietnam War as a tank commander and carried the loss of his fellow soldiers with him for the rest of his life. Bill proudly attended community college and became a skilled HVAC technician. He worked for many years at MagCorp and spoke highly of all his fellow coworkers, keeping in touch for many years after retiring. Bill also helped many many people and small businesses with their plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling. His generosity knew no bounds and he made friends everywhere he went. Bill was committed to fitness his whole life, he made lifelong friends in his running club and his idea of a fun day was a 60 mile bike ride with friends. Bill is survived by his sister Judy, brothers, Gerry, Terry and Mike, children, Angela, Jonathan and Dane, and many nieces, nephews and cousins, and many, many, dear friends. Celebration of life open house will be held Saturday March 18th, 2023 from 5-9 pm at Thanksgiving Point (Lehi) in the Rose Room, and another open house on Sunday March 19th, 2023 from 1-5pm at Cancun Cafe 885 East 3900 South, SLC.
