Robert Barrientes Escobar went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at the age of 65. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on June 21, 1941. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Survivors include his wife, Lydia Escobar; sons, Robert (Cindy) Escobar, David (Leticia) Escobar and Roland Escobar; his daughters, Dolores (Richard) Cardenas, Leticia (Andre) Rangel, Isabel Escobar, Veronica Escobar and Irene (Arturo) Carranzas; 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Guadalupe Escobar and Aurelia Antu; 2 brothers, Luis (Maria Socorro) Escobar and Pablo Escobar; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 9 p.m., and Thursday, October 5, 2006, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2006. The funeral procession will depart immediately after the service for the interment at San Jose Burial Park. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.
