Irene Helen Kowalik Kopecki, lifelong resident of Falls City, Texas, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 17, 2006, at the age of 79. Irene is survived by her daughter, Peggy Prado of San Antonio; son, Alvin Kopecki and wife Jean of San Antonio; grandchildren, Chad Kopecki, Chandra Nealon and husband Tim, Chaleece Kopecki, and Trey Prado; and sisters, Lillian Pollok and husband Archie of Elmendorf, Sister Mary Angelee Kowalik of San Antonio, and Frances Johnson and husband David of Marshall. Mrs. Kopecki was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Emil Frank Kopecki. Mrs. Kopecki will lie in state for visitation from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M., and after 7:15 P.M. Monday, February 20, 2006, in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Falls City, Texas. (6:00 - 7:15 P.M. will be reserved for Parish Mass.) A rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M. Monday, in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Falls City, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2006, in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Falls City, officiated by Father Kazimierz Oleksy. Interment will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Falls City, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Francis Nursing Home, 630 W. Woodlawn, San Antonio, Texas 78212. VINYARD FUNERAL HOME Poth, Texas 1 (866) 393-2588
