Airman Parana Obituary

Airman Seth S. Parana
September 1, 2003 - August 2, 2025
It is with deepest sadness that we announce Airman Seth S. Parana passed away on August 2, 2025, just a few weeks before his 22nd birthday. He was a son, a brother, a husband, a stepdad, a friend, and someone who left a mark on everyone who knew him.

He graduated from Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio in 2022, where he was a member of JROTC program and the cross-country team. Throughout his youth, Seth enjoyed many sports including baseball, basketball, hockey, running, and golf.

Seth was also an incredible artist. Drawing came naturally to him, and he could turn a blank page into something amazing without even trying. He didn't show off, but if you knew him, you knew how well he expressed himself through art. Always adventurous and willing to take on any challenge with a beautiful smile and exuberance.

In January 2023, Seth joined the United States Air Force. He was proud to serve. He was stationed in North Dakota, where he showed up, did his job, and did it right. He didn't complain, didn't show off, just did his part and earned respect from his fellow Airmen.

He loved his family and cared deeply about his friends. Some of his best memories were fishing at Canyon Lake with his grandfather. After moving to North Dakota, he kept that love going, and he fished every chance he got.

One of the most important people in his life was his stepdaughter, Kalina. He loved her and took being in her life seriously. He was proud to be there for her.

Seth was proceeded in death by his paternal grandmother, Delores F. Parana and his maternal grandfather, Charles J. Carter. He is survived by his wife, Juleana Parana; stepdaughter, Kalina Long; parents, Daniel and Cindy Parana; siblings, Brett Parana and Katrina Parana, paternal grandfather Edward G. Parana, maternal grandmother Barbara R. Carter, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends who will forever miss him deeply.

A private inurnment will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
