Bernice Davila

DAVILA
God had an opening for another Angel and on July 21, 2009, surrounded by those who Loved her to no end called Our Mother, God-mother, Grandmother and Friend Bernice (Betty) Sanchez Davila at the age of 79. Born on January 29, 1930 to Ramona and Jose Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Father in-law,Tiburcio Davila, and her husband of 53 years Charles F. Davila; As a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, she had a giving heart, a strong will & even a stronger & beautiful spirit. She was taken from us much too soon but we are truly blessed with the time we had with her & with the stories & the many life experiences that we had to share & will continue to share with others. She will be greatly missed by her Devoted Daughter, Betty Jean (Henry) Quintero; 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; her god-daughters, Mary L. McCraney, Janie R. Bustos, also her lifelong Best Friend, Maria Ramos; numerous loving relatives and friends; one son ,Jesse Davila, his wife, 4 children and 6 grandchildren. We would like to extend a Heartfelt "Thank You" to Dr Juan Carlos Garza and Staff for their kindness and loving care throughout her illness. The Family will receive Friends beginning at 6:00 pm on Sunday July 26, 2009 at Castillo Funeral Home. With a rosary being recited at 7pm this same evening. On Monday July 27, 2009, a procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 for a 11:00 o'clock Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Entombment will follow to San Fernando II Catholic Cemetery. All services under the direction of:
